When it comes to judging sexy living dead girls, who better to do it than one of the subgenre’s original shamblers, John Russo? And he’ll be doing just that at the next Con Nooga in Chattanooga, Tennessee!
From the Press Release
BioGamer Girl is proud to announce that one of the judges for the next Ms. BioGamer Girl pageant will be no other than legendary filmmaker John A. Russo. Sponsored by BioGamer Girl Magazine, Ms. BioGamer Girl replaced the former Ms. Con Nooga beauty pageant. The event is to take place once again in 2013 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Born in 1939 and often referred to as Jack Russo or John Russo, John A. Russo has worked in the film industry for over 40 years with one of his biggest credits to fame also being one of his first. In 1968 Russo acted in and helped create the script for the classic masterpiece Night of the Living Dead along with fellow filmmakers such as Russell Streiner, who presently runs the John Russo Movie Making Program at DuBois Business College in DuBois, Pennsylvania, alongside Russo. The story for the film Return of the Living Dead was also written by Russo. Russo’s other works include The Majorettes, Midnight and Santa Claws. Russo has also written a number of zombie-themed novels and comic books including Plague of the Living Dead and Escape of the Living Dead. Russo is currently working on the feature length film Escape of the Living Dead, which is rumored to star horror legends Kane Hodder, Tony Todd, Gunnar Hansen and Kristina Klebe.
