Chattanooga Film Fest to Premiere Horror Short LITTLE WILLY Virtually May 22nd-25th

Director Andrew Bowser’s latest film Little Willy will premiere during The Chattanooga Film Festival’s virtual weekend, a first for the festival. Attendees can purchase virtual badges to gain access to the festival’s programming. Badges are $10 for 24 hours of access, or $30 for access that lasts the entire weekend. While logged into the festival’s site you can watch the programmed films at your leisure, at any time.

Little Willy was born out of Writer/Director Andrew Bowser’s own experience as a child actor. As a young performer in Baltimore, MD Andrew appeared in regional theater, touring Broadway productions, and national television. He even starred alongside Elijah Wood in an episode of Homicide: Life on the Street. The film tells the story of Adam Castle (Andrew Bowser) who is known primarily to horror fans as “Bradley Caruthers” in Little Willy a campy killer doll movie from the ’80s. Adam is now in his mid 30’s and makes a living attending horror conventions across the country, selling his autographed wares and appearing in photo-ops with fans. Creeping thoughts of failure have been plaguing Adam for some time now, but during a particularly sad con weekend, the weight of past regrets and fear of future irrelevancy overtake Adam and he has a mental break. This break manifests vividly in an ongoing hallucination – Adam believes the PROP DOLL from the Little Willy film has come to life and is telling Adam to do some very bad things. Adam seeks advice from actors Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog, Escape from New York) and Zach Galligan (Gremlins, Waxwork) – but the evil words of Willy may have woven their way into Adam’s psyche – too deep to avoid a bloodbath.

Little Willy is intended as a proof-of-concept for a feature film and Bowser has already penned the screenplay.
