JAWS 45th-Anniversary 4K Blu-ray Coming This Summer!
Steven Spielberg’s Jaws starring Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, and Richard Dreyfuss celebrates its 45th Anniversary this summer. And today we hear that it’s heading to 4K Blu-ray this June.
Universal Entertainment tweeted the announcement of the film’s 45th-anniversary release, but then quickly deleted it. Luckily our buddies over at ComicBook.com got the deets before it was pulled. They revealed the new set will include a 4K disc, Blu-ray, and digital copy, plus lenticular packaging and a 44-page collectible booklet.

It begins when a young woman is killed by a shark while skinny-dipping near the New England tourist town of Amity Island, police chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) wants to close the beaches, but mayor Larry Vaughn overrules him, fearing that the loss of tourist revenue will cripple the town. Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) and grizzled ship captain Quint (Robert Shaw) offer to help Brody capture the killer beast, and the trio engage in an epic battle of man vs. nature.
