ZOMBIE Hits 4K Blu-ray For the First Time This Year

The Beyond and House by the Cemetary director Lucio Fulci’s Zombie is headed to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray soon via Blue Underground. No release date has been set yet, but we will keep up to date on the release and pass along word as we hear it.
The film centers on a group of vacationing tourists who travels to an island where they find a doctor who is attempting to cure a condition that reanimates the dead. Things quickly get out of control as undead Spanish conquistadors crawl from their graves hungry for human flesh.

The film sports a mere 40% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: “Zombie is an absurdly graphic zombie movie legendary for some gory scenes and nothing in between.”
Zombie was directed by Lucio Fulci from a screenplay written by Elisa Briganti and Dardano Sacchetti. Ugo Tucci and Fabrizio De Angelis produced and it starred Tisa Farrow, Ian McCulloch, Richard Johnson, Al Cliver, Auretta Gay, Stefania D’Amario, and Olga Karlatos.
