Marvel and Sony’s upcoming big-budget adaptation of Morbius The Living Vampire starring Jared Leto is set to hit theaters in July. And today we learned that the flick is now in reshoots.
This update comes to us from Leto over on Instagram. Check out his post below!
In Morbius The Living Vampire, biochemist Michael Morbius tries to cure himself of a rare blood disease, but he inadvertently infects himself with a form of vampirism instead, finding himself both as a vampire and being chased by the authorities and his former ally.
It stars Jared Leto as Michael Morbius, Adria Arjona as Martine Bancroft, Matt Smith as Loxias Crown, Jared Harris as Morbius’s mentor, Tyrese Gibson as Simon Stroud, and Al Madrigal.
Additionally, Michael Keaton (Batman, Beetlejuice) will appear as Adrian Toomes / Vulture from Jon Watt’s Spider-Man: Homecoming with Tom Holland.
Morbius is directed by Daniel Espinosa from a screenplay written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless with Art Marcum and Matt Holloway based on the character created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane. Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and Lucas Foster produced. Morbius The Living Vampire starring Jared Leto is set to hit theaters on July 31, 2020.
For those, like me, that didn’t know, Morbius the Living Vampire was created by writer Roy Thomas and Gil Kane and first appeared as an antagonist in The Amazing Spider-Man #101.
