FIGHT CRAB Is The Craziest Video Game You’ll Ever Play

Have you ever dreamed about turning into a giant crab and beating the shit out of other giant crabs? No, neither have we, but we’re getting a game about it anyway. The aptly named Fight Crab is now available in Early Access on itch.io for $14.80, and it looks so damn crazy you’ll want to ask yourself what you’ve been smoking after you watch the trailer above. Gamers of a certain age will already be familiar with the phrase ‘Giant Enemy Crab’, but Japanese developer Nussoft took it to a whole other level.
This is clearly an instance where the title says it all, but either way, we’ll still try to describe Fight Crab as best we can. It’s a game set in a world where crabs have been gifted with enhanced strength and intelligence by the gods. There will be a total of nineteen playable species of crab, and your main goal is to tear other crabs to pieces. As well as using your pincers, you’ll have access to a variety of weapons, including chainsaws, rocket launchers, swords, and even lightsabers.
Most of the footage we’ve seen so far features regular-sized crabs in standard environments, but you can see from the trailer that there will also be a stage with crustaceans the size of Godzilla beating the crap out of each other across a vast cityscape. Nothing is too crazy for Fight Crab.
It probably won’t win any Game of the Year Awards, but Fight Crab still looks like a fast, fun, and downright hilarious way to kill some hours. If you fancy fried crab for dinner, we urge you to give this oddball game a go in Early Access before it gets a full release.
