DREAD Presents: ARTIK To Have World Premiere At Popcorn Frights 2019

Next month, Ft. Lauderdale, FL will see Popcorn Frights take over its streets as horror and genre films from around the world will shock, terrify, and delight audiences. We’re incredibly proud that our own film Artik will be making its world premiere at this esteemed festival and we wanted to let writer/director Tom Botchii, as well as the organizers of Popcorn Frights, tell you in their own words what this premiere means to them!

He states, “Honestly, I never even thought that I’d get the chance to even do a feature and the fact that now, one that I’m involved with is getting a world premiere at the most kick-ass, blood-filled festival in America is an incredible opportunity that I almost can’t believe is even real. I’m absolutely honored that we’re getting to work with Marc and Igor to bring Artik to Popcorn Frights this year!”

“We’re thrilled and honored to host the world premiere of Artik, one of the most badass, daring, and bloody as all hell films we’ve seen this year. We can’t wait to celebrate this unholy film with all our horror lovers and make cinematic mayhem reign in the Sunshine State!” said Igor Shteyrenberg and Marc Ferman, Co-Founders & Co-Director of Popcorn Frights.

Tickets for this year’s Popcorn Frights can be purchased at www.popcornfrights.com.

A comic book obsessed serial killer’s sinister plan to train his son to be his replacement is interrupted when the young boy lures a well-meaning stranger, Holton, back to their secluded farm threatening to expose their families terrifying secret.

Artik stars Chase Williamson of John Dies at the End and The Guest fame as well as Lauren Ashley Carter, who appeared in our own films Black Site and Imitation Girl. Also starring in the movie are Matt Mercer (Contracted), Gavin White (14 Cameras), and Jerry G. Angelo (7 Faces of Jack the Ripper).
