Exclusive Hallucinatory Clip from MADE ME DO IT is the Stuff of Nightmares!

The term “stuff of nightmares” gets tossed around a lot when discussing horror movies, but it’s no exageration when talking about our exclusive clip from Made Me Do It. You’ll want to sleep with one eye opened after giving it a look-see at the top of the article.

Synopsis:
Take a visceral journey into insanity as Made Me Do It dives into the supernatural mythology behind a new breed of slasher. Enter the fragmented mind of serial killer Thomas Berkson. After a lifetime of abuse and rejection, Thomas has finally found someone who loves him unconditionally, the evil mask, Barbara.

Following her maternal influence, Thomas blindly obeys Barbara’s every command as she takes retribution on all those who’ve hurt her precious boy. Distorting Thomas’ mind, she uses him as a vessel for her bidding. Barbara’s rage then descends on the unsuspecting Ali Hooper, her teenage brother, Nick and her ex-boyfriend Jason. In a throwback to the classic 80’s slasher genre, the night twists and turns into a race for survival through an acid trip exploration of Thomas’ splintered memory. Coming face to face with the unstoppable force of Barbara, the question is asked who or what is the source of Thomas’ power?

Made Me Do It director and co-scribe Benjamin Ironside Koppin has this to say about his creation:

“Kyle Van Vonderen and I were both video editors and producers at the now defunct channel FEARnet. Because of our jobs we had the opportunity to get behind the scenes of amazing horror films and interview some of the great horror legends we had always been inspired by.

“I had wanted to make my first feature ever since I graduated college, and inspiration struck one day in a slow board meeting. I was staring at Kyle and saw some of his unique mannerisms — he has this amazing ability to jump between looking creepy in one glance and sympathetic in another. This was the crux to developing the character of Thomas and the evil mask Barbara. The goal with MADE ME DO IT was to make a throwback slasher film where you actually felt sympathetic for the slasher and Kyle was the key to making that concept work.

“Along the road of the making the film we pulled in our FEARnet friends to help complete the film — one being Gregory Burkart, who was a writer for FEARnet at the time. He and I were producing a FEARnet show called Dead Noise, where we interviewed various bands on their horror influences and we bonded over our love of early Nine Inch Nails. This led Greg to come on as the composer for the film and make an absolutely insane score! I can honestly say Greg’s score brought the whole film to another level, without it the film would just be crazy images. Greg’s music breathed life into it and demands you must play this movie loud!

“Over the years we have gotten so much support from our FEARnet family and I’m so excited for this little experiment of ours to finally see the light of day!”

Look for Made Me Do It in select theaters begining this Friday, April 12th in adavnce of a DVD/VOD release slated for April 23rd. The film stars Anna B. Shaffer, Kyle Van Vonderen, and Cortney Palm.
