IFC Midnight Presents I TRAPPED THE DEVIL in April

Fans of horror have long trusted the films distributed by IFC Midnight; the studio has a knack for supporting quality genre flicks that are usually far ahead of the pack. So even when they release movies from unknown or up-and-coming filmmakers, you can pretty much count on the fact that the product is definitely worthy of your attention.
Case in point: I Trapped the Devil is the debut feature film by writer/diretor Josh Lobo. Look for it in select theaters and VOD platforms beginning April 26th.
We don’t have a trailer for I Trapped the Devil yet but the poster (below) has an old-school, 1970s era horror vibe. Give it a look-see, followed by the film’s official synopsis.
Synopsis:
Christmas is supposed to be a time for peace and joyful family reunions. But when Matt (AJ Bowen) and his wife Karen (Susan Burke) show up unannounced at the home of his estranged brother Steve (Scott Poythress) to celebrate the holidays, they are instead greeted with a horrifying surprise: trapped in the basement is a man. But not just any man. Steve believes that his hostage is none other than the devil himself. As shock and skepticism turn to fear and paranoia, Matt and Karen find themselves facing a terrifying quandary: is Steve dangerously unhinged? Or could the mysterious stranger really be evil incarnate? Either way, the stage is set for a true Christmas from hell.
