It’s been a year-and-a-half since French synthwave artist Perturbator put out his last release, the New Model EP. Now, it’s time to look ahead at what’s to come and it’s already sounding glorious.
A brand new track from Perturbator‘s as-yet-untitled fifth album has been released by the artist’s label, Blood Music, and it can be listened to below. Titled “Excess”, there is a significant 80s presence to this track, at least compared to the dark and serious tone featured on New Model. That being said, it still sounds like something one would hear from a dark, dystopian post-apocalyptic rave. I could see this being the music playing at a club that Judge Dredd breaks up (Stallone, not Urban).
Perturbator‘s new album will be coming out this year, although no release window has been given.
