Winning the lottery can change a person’s life. It can also ruin a person’s life. Between the sudden pressures of being wealthy and the instant notoriety, winners also have to worry about friends and acquaintances coming out of the woodwork seeking a handout. This is probably why a recent lottery winner in Jamaica chose to collect his winnings incognito.
His choice of disguise will definitely strike a chord with horror fans; he (or she?) wore a Ghostface mask, popularized in Wes Craven’s popular Scream franchise. The irony, of course, is that Ghostface’s identity changed in every film, so, you know, it’s pretty meta—right?
Apparently, lottery winners collecting their winnings incognito is a trend; another recent winner showed up wearing a smiling emoji mask!
