-AMAZONPOLLY-ONLYWORDS-END-Don’t expect the reboot of John Carpenter’s Big Trouble in Little China to do as well as 2018’s Halloween in terms of bringing original cast members back into the fold. Whereas Halloween reunited original Laurie Strode and Michael Myers actors (Jamie Lee Curtis and Nick Castle respectively), it sounds like Kurt Russell has little interest in showing up to join Dwayne Johnson in the Big Trouble in Little China reboot.

In USA Today, Russell wished the project the best of luck, but claims he “probably won’t be” participating:

“[Johnson is] just a really good guy. I like working with him and if he’s going to do it, he and his crew will hopefully be able to come up with something that I guess makes the title work.”

The Big Trouble in Little China reboot has only a shell of an IMDB page, one that doesn’t even hint at a target release date. Still, we’ll be keeping our ears to the ground in order to bring you details as they emerge. Stay tuned!
