Dread Central Presents: Brand New Double Feature Blu-rays Announced!

After the debacle that hit Twitter yesterday regarding iTunes movies that disappeared from a library, I think we all know in our heart of hearts that physical media is always going to be the safest way to go. Sure, it’s a little inconvenient to get up off the couch, put in a disc (you probably also need to take out the previous disc and…where the hell is the damn case?), wait for it to load, and then, only then, watch the movie. However, you know what you don’t have to deal with? Loading/buffering. Artifacts in your picture because the stream quality suddenly drops. And as we see now, your movie suddenly disappearing forever and your money flushed down the toilet!

So, in the interest of helping all of you out there build up your home video collection, we’re incredibly excited to alert you to three new Blu-rays coming out from Dread Central Presents! All three packages are double features, so you’re actually getting two great movies for the price of one!

First up is Zombiology: Enjoy Yourself Tonight/Vidar the Vampire. Included are four making-of featurettes, Alan Lo’s original short film, and trailers for the former while the latter will receive a short film and a trailer.

Next we’ve got #Screamers/The Monster Project! The first film on the disc has an audio commentary with director Dean Ronalds and star/co-writer Tom Malloy, four deleted scenes, and a trailer. The second film also has an audio commentary, a 45-minute behind-the-scenes making-of feature, the Smiling Man web series (11 episodes), and the trailer.

Last on the list of new titles is Imitation Girl/Nina Forever, the latter of which is seeing its first ever Blu-ray release! The former title will have an audio commentary with writer/director Natasha Kermani moderated by Dread Presents’ Rob Galluzzo, the original short film Imitation Girls, two deleted scenes, TV interviews from FrightFest, and a trailer. The latter will have a behind-the-scenes featurette, deleted scenes, two short films, and a trailer.

Each double feature Blu-ray comes with a reversible sleeve, so you get to decide which movie you want to see whenever you pull out the case!

You can buy the 7-pack Blu-ray set, which includes 10 movies for only $99.99! Pre-orders are available right here. If you’d like to buy discs individually, you can find the full list here.
