Rumor: ALIEN TV Series on the Way?
With Neill Blomkamp’s Alien 5 dead-as-Dillinger and Ridley Scott’s follow up to Prometheus and Alien: Covenant in limbo, where will the Alien franchise go from here?
Well, Omega Underground has an interesting rumor circling that says the powers that be behind the scenes are working on developing an Alien: TV Series.
A “reliable source” revealed to the site that a series set within the “Alien universe” is being considered and that “something could be announced soon.” If it’s indeed in development it’s in the very very early stages. The site couldn’t connect where it could land but did say Hulu and Netflix are ruled out.
Personally, I think TV is where Alien will head next considering this is the new age on TV. That said, I’m thinking Fox will not only wait to see what happens in this upcoming merger with Disney (or some other company) but I’m also thinking they’re waiting to see how the reboot of The Predator does as well.
Let’s hope the series comes to fruition!

The terror begins when the crew encounters a nest of eggs inside the alien ship. An organism from inside an egg leaps out and attaches itself to one of the crew, causing him to fall into a coma.
