Things will be getting hairy when Werewolves of the Third Reich releases next month. The lycanthropic WW2 picture was written and directed by Andrew Jones, who has already been behind a ton of entertaining-looking British horror flicks including Valley of the Witch, Theatre of Fear, The Amityville Asylum, The Curse of Robert the Doll, and Poltergeist Activity.
As its name suggests, Werewolves of the Third Reich will focus on a group of American soldiers who stumble upon sinister experiments conducted by Doctor Mengele to create an army of werewolf warriors. If you think that sounds crazy, wait until you get a load of the trailer below.
Werewolves of the Third Reich stars Annabelle Lanyon, Lee Bane, Derek Nelson, Kwame Augustine, and Neville Cann as Doctor Mengele. The film will be released on DVD on December 5, and you can pre-order your copy on Amazon if you feel like watching some Nazis werewolfs being put down.
In Nazi Germany at the height of World War II, a ragtag group of American soldiers known as “The Fearless Four” are shipped off to a military prison for a variety of infractions, ranging from mutiny to murder. While they’re being transported, Nazis attack the convoy, killing the MPs, but the rebellious American soldiers manage to escape.
Travelling deep into rural Germany, the Americans stumble upon an SS experiment camp run by the notorious Doctor Mengele. They soon discover Mengele’s diabolical plan to fuse human and animal DNA to create an unstoppable army of Werewolf soldiers. The Fearless Four are now the allied forces’ only hope of preventing Hitler’s Third Reich gaining the upper hand in the War. It’s a fight to the death and only the most brutal and merciless will survive.
