Celebrate Cuphead in the Cobweb Hotel

The long awaited game, Cuphead, finally released on Xbox One and Windows 10 last week and for those of you who haven’t played it… holy cow are you missing out. The game is just indescribably good and completely batshit nuts in the best way possible. Just like its title character, this bit of digital goodness (and lunacy) has personality to spare.

But where did it come from? What was it based on? A time gone by, dearest reader. When cartoons had more imagination then anything we see on TV or film. Politically incorrect, ridiculously creepy, and always fucking out there… the cartoons that were haunting theaters from the 30’s and 40’s were cute in the most nightmarish ways possible. Take for example this personal favorite of mine… Paramount’s The Cobweb Hotel.

Watch… live… learn… If this type of strange gets your ghost, go play Cuphead, like, immediately.
