Jeepers Creepers 3 Almost Finished With Post-Production; Announces Special Screening at the TCL Chinese Theater

We’ve all known that Jeepers Creepers 3 has been in the works for a while but we haven’t heard any real word on a release timetable. There were rumors circulating recently that the film would be hitting theaters in late September but we’re able to confirm here and now that this is not true as the film does not have any theatrical distribution plan locked down.
Additionally we can confirm that the film is wrapping up post-production, which will be done in the coming weeks. This will allow the film to be part of a double feature screening alongside the first Jeepers Creepers at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on September 13th.
The event will be hosted by Kory Davis, who goes by MovieDude18, who has hosted dozens of screenings in the Los Angeles area. He recently hosted a double-feature screening of Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky with Jennifer Tilly, Billy Boyd, and Don Mancini attending for a Q&A. He’s done similar screenings for films like Halloween H20, 10 Things I Hate About You, and more. You can follow him on Twitter and Facebook.
The Jeepers Creepers double-feature will see several cast members from all three films in the series in attendance. There will also be two Q&A sessions, one after the first film with Gina Phillips, Jonathan Breck, and surprise guests with the second taking place after Jeepers Creepers 3, which will see multiple cast members from that film attending. The cast and crew will do a signing before the event with an exclusive Jeepers Creepers 3 poster, which will cost $10.
Regarding the plot, here’s what we’ve heard: Gina Philips (star of the original film) returns as Trisha Jenner, but she’s not the focus of this new film, which takes place in between Parts 1 and 2. “I am in it in order to launch what happens next,” she told Diabolique Magazine. “Victor has written what happens from the second after the conclusion of Jeepers Creepers 3. I think that’s all I’m allowed to say about it but he wrote in such detail and he had a lot of flashbacks to what happened over the years that it made it very easy for me. I got to see what will eventually happen to the character, and he put enough flashbacks in there that I got to see what happened to her over the last 15 years. Let’s just say there’s more to come.” Okay, so that pretty much covers Philips’ plans to take center stage in Part 4.
But where does that all leave Part 3 story-wise? According to BD, Jeepers Creepers 3 follows a group of hunters (led by Meg Foster) who are completely aware of the Creeper’s mythology and looking to stop the creature before it ends its eatin’ spree.
