The Hatred, a film we haven’t heard too much about so far, is heading our way on Blu-ray/DVD this coming September 12th; and to make sure you’re keeping it on your radar, a new trailer has arrived courtesy of Lionsgate.

Written and directed by Michael G. Kehoe, The Hatred stars Sarah Davenport, Darby Walker, Gabrielle Bourne, Bayley Corman, and Alisha Wainwright, featuring horror legends Andrew Divoff (Wes Craven’s Wishmaster), David Naughton (An American Werewolf in London), and Amanda Wyss (A Nightmare on Elm Street).

If you live in or near Miami, Florida, you can catch The Hatred at the Popcorn Frights Film Festival, running August 11th-17th.  In the meantime, pre-orders for the Blu-ray and DVD are now open on Amazon.

Synopsis:
Sins from the past return to terrorize the present in this shocker from Malek Akkad, a producer of the original Halloween.

When recent college grad Regan (Sarah Davenport) goes to a family’s house to babysit their daughter for the weekend, she invites her three best gal pals along. What starts as a girls’ getaway becomes a journey into hell, as the young women discover the house is haunted by a dark and violent history involving a Nazi (Andrew Divoff), his daughter, and an ancient artifact that feeds on fear.
