Short Film The Telling Inspired By British Cult Supernatural Dramas
If you’re a fan of supernatural cult dramas of the British variety, then The Telling, a short film from director Stewart Hamilton, is going to be right up your alley. Well, it will be if it can get the necessary funding via Indiegogo. The campaign is seeking £3,000 and has two weeks left to reach that goal.
Hamilton explains, “Inspired by my love for creepy and unsettling supernatural dramas of the 70s and 80s, the Telling is a horror tale about a woman who returns to her hometown after 20 years away. While she has changed, the town remains eerily familiar and a meeting with an old school friend compounds this feeling of dread. Suffice to say, things take a turn for the worse. For fans of classic horror programmes like Children of The Stones, The Stone Tape & Day of the Triffids.”
Below is a proof-of-concept teaser that gives a feel as to what kind of atmosphere and tone the short film is trying to convey. Personally, I think it looks great and the music is absolutely sublime.
