Edgar Wright’s Next Project Will Deal With Sexual Confusion During a Giant Grasshopper Uprising

Edgar Wright, the director who brought us Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World’s End, and more, has announced that his next project will be adapting Andrew Smith’s YA novel Grasshopper Jungle into a feature-length film, according to THR. The film will be based off a script by Scott Rosenberg.

Per the site, the story, “…mashed up genres as it tackled adolescent love and communication while also serving up apocalyptic action in the form of an unstoppable army of 6-foot-tall praying mantises.

Wright is about to see the release of Baby Driver, which comes out June 28th.
