Wizard’s Date With LA
The other day we were among the first to tell you the good news that Jeremy Kasten’s Wizard of Gore redux would be debuting as part of the Los Angeles Film Festival, though specifics were still in the wings.
Now, as you can see, they have been set free; Wizard of Gore will debut on Friday, June 22nd at The Majestic Crest Theater, then play again on Thursday, June 28th at the Landmark Theaters on Pico Blvd. The 22nd show is a midnight screening (as is only fitting), whereas it will play at the relatively early hour of 10 pm on the 28th.
Fans have been waiting a long time for Kasten’s take on the H.G. Lewis classic, and I hope its festival run is a good one. We can also officially confirm that the film will play at this year’s Fantasia Film Festival, though the exact date is still being worked out.
