Two Horror Starlets Signing at the Weekend of Horrors: Micheline Pitt & Carlee Baker
Along with providing info on a few more auctions that have been put together in support of “Bowling for Boobies” (two big ones are ending soon!), two members of The Horror Starlets bowling team, horror-nerd/artist Micheline Pitt and actress Carlee Baker (Wicked Lake), will be signing this Saturday, October 16, at Creation’s Weekend of Horrors from 12 noon to 3 pm.
Hosted by Bruce Campbell, the convention runs Friday, October 15, through Sunday, October 17, at the Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel, and in support of her bowling team The Horror Starlets, pinup gal Pitt will be auctioning off one of her original paintings at the con, this one done expressly for the event.
The signing will take place in the Weekend of Horrors’ “Art Ghoullery” as presented by Isolation Threads (to be located in the Sunset Room near the front of the convention center) with original artwork on display by Pitt, Dienzo, Nicolas Caesar, Clint Carney, Todd Robey, Brian Henderson, and many others.
“Now since I only paint and draw monsters, girls and kids,” Pitt told Dread of her painting (you can see the work in progress below) “and since I am on The Horror Starlets team, I had to do something spooky. I decided to do a hot monster girl with big boobies – since we are raising money to save them. I was torn between a Creature from the Black Lagoon girl or the Bride (of Frankenstein). I opted for the Bride. So if you will be at the Weekend of Horrors, it will be everyone’s first chance to buy an original painting. I will be donating the proceeds from the piece to help women living with breast cancer.”
Pitt will also be selling limited edition numbered prints of her Bride painting as well as prints of some of her other pieces, with proceeds benefiting The Horror Starlets. Actress Carlee Baker of Wicked Lake and Lucky McKee’s upcoming The Woman will join Pitt and will sign 8X10’s, pose for photos, and more.
