The WTF Friday Video of the Week: Japanese Kids Get a Zombie Education

default-featured-image

As I have said in the past, when you need a video to make you go “WTF?”, look no further than the Japanese. Japanese television is infamous for the cruel practical jokes they often play on unsuspecting people, but to terrify three little kids into believing a flesh-eating zombie is on the way to eat them, that sounds like it’s going too far. Except the whole prank is actually an exercise in teaching the kids the power of teamwork.

Could you imagine the outcry if an American television show scared the living hell out of a trio of kindergarten age kids into believing a monster was coming to kill them as a means to educate them on the benefits of working together to solve problems? Only in Japan, folks.

The best part is someone took the time to subtitle this insanity. That way we can fully experience the cries of frightened children asking the show’s host why he won’t help them as they believe themselves to be fighting for their very lives and the full bravado of a little Japanese boy fending off a zombie with a dinosaur action figure while vowing, “I will destroy you!” Only in Japan, folks.
