Anytime I think of the original Alien vs Predator (DVD review), I’m filled with deep homicidal rage. They say time heals all wounds, but Paul Anderson’s rape of not one, but two legacies left some deep mental scars.
Nevertheless, The Brothers Strause are promising that their follow-up will be what the fans really want, and if there is a God, we’ll get just that. Fox hasn’t shown much on the film, but Design Studio Press has posted a few pics from the AVP: Survival of the Fittest FX book. You’ll have to squint to make them out, but the creatures are a noticeable improvement. At least the Predator doesn’t look like a mongoloid WWE wrestler.
AVP 2: Survival of the Fittest is due out this Christmas, and you know the last thing any of us want for Christmas is to get ocularly raped again, so we’ll hold out hope that the Brothers Strause will be good to their word, something Paul Anderson seems incapable of.
