The Collector 2 Shooting in October

With regard to The Collector (review here), the horror fanbase is pretty much split straight down the middle. Some dug it for the stylistic carnage fest that it was while others flat-out hated the flick. Well, we’ve got some good news for those of you out there on the positive side.
Bloody Disgusting caught up with writing team Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, and the duo announced that they’re planning on shooting the sequel to the slasher flick this October!
“Mickey Liddell [the executive producer of the first film] is gonna do it, and he’s gonna finance it, but I don’t know what the distribution plan would be,” Dunstan tells BD. “It depends, I guess we’ll see what happens. The plan is to actually start shooting this October. That’s the loose plan that we have, so we’ll see if we can hit that.”
Nifty news! However, there could be a downside, too, as Marcus can’t confirm at this time whether or not he will be returning to direct. Dig on the whole story by clicking the above link, and look for more soon!
