MPAA Gives Kevin Smith’s Yoga Hosers a PG-13 Rating

No stranger to battling with the MPAA, Kevin Smith recently ran into trouble with upcoming film Yoga Hosers, which he describes as a kids movie. The MPAA thought otherwise, giving the flick an R rating and leading Smith to engage in what he called the Battle for the Balls – a pair of hand-drawn testicles that appear in the film were reportedly the reason for the rating.

But today brings good news, as just one night before Smith’s MPAA appeals screening was scheduled to take place, the ratings group had a change of heart. Smith broke the news over on his Instagram account, which we encourage you to follow for updates on all of his upcoming projects.

Holy shit! The #MPAA just canceled my @yogahosers appeals screening that was set for tomorrow,” Smith wrote. “They said they re-watched the movie and now agree that it is, indeed, a PG-13! I don’t have to cut anything out to secure the PG-13 rating either! Next up, we’ll tour the kids movie in June and July (tour details coming soon) and release #YogaHosers in theaters right after #ComicCon! Many thanks to the #MPAA for the 180 degree turn!

Talk about a happy ending!

Get your mind outta the gutter, will ya?
