In your backyard around a fire pit or in the middle of the mountains by a campfire, a good ghost story is hard to beat; and word of a new one just landed in our inbox.  Read on for your first look at the paranormal novel Ghost Hampton by Ken McGorry, which was inspired by a former brothel that legend says is haunted.

Ghost Hampton is the first tale in a new series by McGorry, who is also a songwriter. It’s available now from CreateSpace on Amazon and other outlets.

Synopsis:
Lyle Hall’s world is falling apart: No one is town likes him very much, including Georgie, his police detective daughter. An unscrupulous lawyer, twice divorced, a “bad dad,” and widely regarded as the town drunk, Hall’s life takes a turn for the even worse when he hits and kills the town’s beloved Elsie as she is on her way to her son’s 50th birthday party.

If that isn’t enough, his injuries from the accident have put him in an electric wheelchair… and he begins hearing and seeing things. Like Jewel. The beautiful Victorian girl, who has been dead for 100 years, appears to him outside a former brothel in Bridgehampton now scheduled for demolition. Asking for Hall’s help, she shocks him by revealing that his daughter, Georgie, has only four days left to live.

In a sudden turn of events, all hell breaks loose as Hall becomes the subject of a media circus, and hordes of paranormal enthusiasts descend on the tony shores of the Hamptons. As time runs out for Georgie, Lyle’s legendary weakness for the ladies kicks in: He’s captivated by the lovely Silk – a scheming TV reporter in stiletto heels. And that’s just the beginning!
