Sitting high atop a hill, looming above the Bates Motel, is one of the most iconic houses in the history of cinema. I’m of course talking about the infamous Psycho house, which serial killer/ultimate mama’s boy Norman Bates calls home. Want to pay Norman a visit? Well, if you live in New York City, you now can.

Brought to our attention by the website Curbed, a 28-foot-high, two-thirds scale replica of the Psycho house has just been erected in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s roof garden. The outdoor exhibit, dubbed #PsychoBarn, is the work of British artist Cornelia Parker, who built the structure out of reclaimed wood from an actual barn.

It’s two objects together. One is a fictional object, which is the ‘Psycho’ house, and the other is a real thing, which is the barn,” says Parker. “It’s all fake but all real at the same time.”

The awesome art installation is on display now through October 31. Check out some images below.
