The upcoming slasher film Verano Rojo (original title: Red Summer) is now raising funds to complete post-production, and to help entice you to contribute, we’ve got both a teaser trailer and some rather nasty looking images that give the impression that the film will certainly be worth your time.

From the Press Release:
Verano Rojo (Red Summer) is a slasher horror film, written and directed by ESCAC graduate Carles Jofre. The film tells the story of four youngsters who arrive in Mallorca to enjoy their idyllic holiday. Searching for a sunny beach and fun, they end up finding themselves in an inhospitable wilderness. This marks the beginning of an infernal journey.

Verano Rojo is a humble and low-budget production, with shooting being completely self-financed, but now we are in post-production and need financial support. We have started a crowdfunding campaign through the Verkami platform. The page will be active for 40 days. Our goal is to reach €7,000, a realistic amount to make the film as good as possible.

The Verano Rojo teaser trailer was presented at the Nocturna (International Fantastic Film Festival in Madrid) in 2015 and also at the International Fantastic Film Festival of Sitges in 2015.
