After a successful first season, Fox is upping the body count with a second season of their slasher TV series “Scream Queens,” and today brings the first official casting news. As we recently learned, it’s likely that Jamie Lee Curtis will be back, though we can’t yet confirm that. Read on to find out what we do know!

Over on Twitter, actress Niecy Nash revealed that she will be returning for the second season. She’ll reprise the role of security guard Denise Hemphill, who was hired to protect the Kappa Kappa Tau sisters. Obviously, the character survived the first season, and was promoted to chief of police.

Season 2 graduates from the college campus and into an all-new location, as a terrifyingly funny murder mystery will begin once again. This time the show will be set in a hospital, where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation.

No other cast announcements have been made.

Created by “Glee” co-creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan, who also serve as writers and directors on the series, “Scream Queens” is from Ryan Murphy Television and Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision in association with 20th Century Fox Television. It is executive produced by Murphy, Falchuk, Brennan, and Alexis Martin Woodall (“American Horror Story: Hotel”).
