Brutal Game Goodnight Butcher Brings Home the Bacon

With the abundance of indie horror games on Steam, it’s great for one to come along that actually screams originality and creativity instead of just being a mess of cobbled together Unity assets. Created by a team of two people over a six-month period, Goodnight Butcher has you play as the titular cleaver-wielding butcher as you struggle to survive against otherworldly apparitions on the night shift whilst also preparing meat for the customers who will visit the following day.

I don’t know if the game is meant to be advocating vegetarianism or what, but anyway, you can head over to Steam and the App Store to check it out.

Synopsis:
Goodnight Butcher is an arcade-style horror game with an isolated, heart-pounding atmosphere which shifts seamlessly between running your butchery and running for your life.

It’s the graveyard shift at Happy Knife Co. You’re a butcher working the night shift at a run-down meatshop, but you’re not alone. You must use machines found throughout the butchery to saw, chop, grind, mince, and otherwise prepare meat for tomorrow’s customers, while avoiding the terrifying apparitions which haunt the old building, or perhaps your own mind.
