Mars Attacks is a franchise that gets nowhere near enough love or attention. Which is why we’re thrilled to learn that the 5-issue limited comic series Mars Attacks: Occupation will be hitting stores next year (thanks, Comic Book Resources).
Rather than simply attacking the earth, in this new series the Martians have taken over, until a small group of humans decide that it’s time to make a stand.
Written by Godzilla: Gangsters & Goliaths scribe John Layman and drawn by TNMT artist Andy Kuhn, Mars Attacks: Occupation #1 goes on sale in March.
Synopsis:
The Martians came. The Martians saw. The Martians conquered. Now the space invaders cruelly rule over humanity, which has no hope for liberation… until Ruby Johnson decides that she has had enough.
