New Godzilla Resurgence Posters Offer a Terrifying Look at the Beast

Godzilla has had many different looks over the years, from cuddly to angry, but none more terrifying than what you’re about to see. We approve. We so very much approve.

The posters below come from the Twitter account of FX supervisor/artist Katsuro Inoue (Attack on Titan) and, from what we hear, have been confirmed to be legit. Then again, so much changes so fast nowadays anything can happen. We do, however, pray that they keep this insane design. The tag line on the poster reads, “Japan Vs. Godzilla.”

Toho’s Godzilla Resurgence, the 29th Japanese film featuring the King of the Monsters, is directed by Attack on Titan‘s Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi, written by Hideaki Anno, and stars Hiroki Hasegawa, Yutaka Takenouchi, and Satomi Ishihara.

Godzilla Resurgence takes place in modern-day Japan, which has suffered an attack by the Big G. The United States soon gets involved in the chaos to help the Land of the Rising Sun secure its existence.

Look for it July 29, 2016, in Japan. For more info keep it locked here and on the official Godzilla Resurgence website.
