Video Killer Scores US Distribution Deal

In horror films, VHS tapes are almost always bad news. If an unmarked tape suddenly lands on your doorstep, my advice is to immediately throw it away. Better yet, burn the damned thing until there’s nothing left. Although I have a massive VHS collection and shudder at the thought of someone destroying a tape, it’s always better to be safe than sorry. You have been warned.

Apparently no one told the characters in writer/director Richard Mansfield’s Video Killer about the dangers associated with mysterious unmarked VHS tapes. Not surprisingly, it doesn’t take long for these unfortunate folks to discover that this beloved format can prove deadly.

Unfamiliar with Video Killer? This synopsis will set the record straight.

When Amy receives a haunted VHS tape containing weird films from a figure stalking her, she realizes she is not alone and must find other victims who are being haunted to try to work out who is trying to kill them.

According to the genre enthusiasts over at Horror Asylum, the guys and gals at Wild Eye Releasing recently acquired Video Killer, and the flick should find its way into US stores sometime in 2016. Meanwhile, UK distribution talks are under way so if you’re across the pond, expect an update soon!
