The Best Horror Movies Streaming On Pluto TV

Last updated: July 5, 2024

Pluto TV is a horror fan’s best friend. Not only does this free streamer have channels dedicated to airing genre titles 24/7, but it also has one of the most extensive film collections on the internet. The streaming service is adding hits like Red Eye, There Will Be Blood, The Ring, and The Ring Two to its library this July. However, that is just the tip of the iceberg. I combed through the long list of movies hitting Pluto TV this month to find the five that made my cold little heart the happiest. I am now ready to share with the class if you want to check them out below.

Clue

Six guests attend a mysterious dinner in a strange mansion and have to work together to identify a murderer. Clue was my favorite board game as a kid, and I also loved this movie more than I will ever be able to put into words. This is a hilarious and charming take on murder mysteries. More importantly, the cast is stacked with lovable and funny people like Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, and Christopher Lloyd. However, this rewatch is definitely for the late Martin Mull’s Colonel Mustard. Shout out to Pluto TV for giving us free access to this gem.

Devil in a Blue Dress

A man gets involved in a political scandal after being hired to find a mysterious woman in 1948 Los Angeles. I love that this underrated gem is on a free streaming service like Pluto TV. More people need to see it, if for no other reason than Denzel Washington and Don Cheadle’s fantastic performances. I will always make time for any mystery featuring two of the best actors of our lifetime. We are just lucky it is also a great movie.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day

A cyborg from the future, who looks identical to the one who previously tried to kill Sarah Connor, is now trying to protect her son from a more advanced cyborg. I was so happy to see Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton reunite for this sequel because I loved the first movie and wanted more. As someone usually unimpressed with sequels, I lived my best life with this one. I have been wanting to revisit this movie for a while, so I will make time to rewatch it while it is on Pluto TV this month.

Total Recall

A man who wanted to have virtual memories of Mars implanted finds out his life has been a lie when the surgery goes wrong. This movie was wasted on me as a child, and I owe it another watch. I am excited to see it as an adult and find out if it has been good this whole time. Total Recall stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Michael Ironside, and it feels like the title my summer needed.

Vacancy

A couple stranded in a motel realize they are being forced to be the stars of a snuff film. I watched this movie for the first time a couple of months ago, and it is surprisingly good. I have to point out that the core cast is Kate Beckinsale, Luke Wilson, Frank Whaley, and Ethan Embry. So, if you are looking for a stressful little watch with top-notch acting, this should probably also be on your watch list this month. You can thank me and Pluto TV afterward.
