Godzilla fans have experienced a great loss as news has come our way today that director Yoshimitsu Banno has passed away at the ripe old age of 86.
Banno directed one of the strangest and most beloved Godzilla films, Godzilla vs Hedorah (aka Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster) back in 1971 and severed as a writer, producer, and second unit director on several other films.
We here at Dread Central would like to offer our sincerest of condolences to Yoshimitsu’s friends, family members, and constituents.
