Xavier Gens

Synopsis and Art: Xavier Gens' The Fallout

Director Xavier Gens, best known within the genre for Frontiere(s), is following up his harrowing little horror film (Hitman doesn't count) with a hearty slice of post-apocalyptic nuttiness, and we have some art and the plot crunch for you.

Gens to Helm The Fallout

The wonderfully sick mind behind Frontière(s), Xavier Gens, is set to return to the genre (sort of) for The Fallout, a post-apocalyptic thriller set in a futuristic New York City. Unlike his adaptation of the Eidos video game Hitman, this one isn’t an adaptation of the long-running RPG series of the same name.

Behind the Scenes of La Horde

A bunch of new behind-the-scenes stills from the upcoming French zombie movie La Horde have shown up over at Cinema Fantastique and as you can see from the sample on the right, they’re pretty damn sexy! In a gory, blood-drenched kinda way, of course...

Storyboard for The Horde

The really badasss storyboard for Yannick Dahan’s upcoming zombie film The Horde showed up on the film’s MySpace page recently and if it’s any indication of the scale the film will be at, this sucker’s going to be pretty amazing.

Early Art for Gens' Vanikoro

Earlier today the folks over at Filmsactu got their hands on some preliminary production art for Vanikoro, the new film from Frontier(s) helmer Xavier Gens.

Xavier Gens Brings a Horde of Zombies!

We need more zombies! Not the low budget kind, but those of the French persuasion!

Xavier Gens Unleashes The Horde

Zombies. You love ‘em, I love ‘em, and yes, even Frontier(s) director Xavier Gens loves ‘em, which is why he’s produced a film called The Horde. Twitch Film managed to pin the man down during the Neuchatel International Fantastic Film Festival, where he gave them the first details about the film.

Frontier(s) Theatre Listings!

We've been telling you about it for months, and the official news has finally rolled in. Xavier Gens' Frontier(s) (official website), which was too extreme to be part of the After Dark film fest, will be having its limited theatrical release on May 9th at the following theatres:

Beware of Terror Project 6!

In the words of producer Michael Abbate, Terror Project 6 is a “French horror sitcom with zombies”. If that’s not enough to entice you to read on … then man I feel bad for you.

Stock Up for Frontier(s)

The film that really should have been a part of last year's After Dark's 8 Films to Die For, Frontier(s), is still going to get its chance to shine here in the States with an uncut theatrical run on May 9th and landing on DVD May 13th.

New Frontiers Site, Poster!

It’s been a while since we heard much from the After Dark camp regarding Frontier(s), the film that was originally going to be one of the 8 Films to Die For until they couldn’t bring in an R rating. Luckily, their silence was due to hard work on their side building promo materials for the film!

Frontier(s) Release Plan Set

After Dark Films has finally figured out its plans for Xavier (Hitman) Gens’ Frontier(s) it was announced today. Though the film was originally slated to be part of the 8 Films to Die For (we got Lake Dead instead...), its NC-17 rating could not be modified in time to get it in theaters this past November.

Hoffman, Mortensen in Talks for Vanikoro?

It’s not a huge chunk of news, but could be pretty exciting for Hitman helmer Xavier Gens (interview) when it comes to getting attention for his next film, Vanikoro.

Frontière(s) Returns

Last week we noticed that Xavier Gens' Frontière(s) went missing from After Dark Horror Fest's final roster of films that will start playing nationwide on November 9th. It was a pretty sad turn of events simply because the movie was about Neo-Nazis and extreme gore.
