New Line & James Wan’s Post-Apocalyptic Horror Movie Snags Writer & Director

New Line and producer James Wan have snagged director Bishal Dutta to helm their new untitled original horror feature based on a spec script by Joshua Rollins.
Plot details are under wraps but the film is set in post-apocalyptic Los Angeles.
The movie marks Dutta’s directing debut after New Line and Wan discovered his short Inferno. Dutta is a graduate of UC Berkeley whose first short Life In Color premiered at the Cannes Film Festival Emerging Filmmaker Showcase in 2018.
Rollins is an established playwright.
Wan will produce with Michael Clear. Judson Scott serves as Executive Producer.
