Plot Synopsis:

Magic, madness and mayhem join in this diabolical remake of the 1970 horror cult classic. Crispin Glover (Willard) stars as a master illusionist whose female audience participants (The Suicide Girls) are hideously murdered onstage, only to miraculously reappear untouched. But when a smart reporter (Kip Pardue, Remember the Titans) finds they re later turning up dead with the same wounds as those inflicted during the performance, his investigation leads to unimaginable terror.

    Wizard of Gore Image Blow-out!

    Next Tuesday Jeremy Kasten's remake of the H.G. Lewis splatter classic, The Wizard of Gore comes home not only with tons of maniacal violence, but with a genre cast and a half that includes Crispin Glover, Bijou Phillips, Jeffrey Combs, Brad Dourif!     I’ve been in Boston for a few years now, but for some reason it seems like I always find out about the cool stuff going down here too late. Well no more! I’m keeping tabs on things in my town now, and because of that I found out that the Boston Underground Film Festival just unleashed this year’s screening schedule.

    Interview by: Johnny Butane I first got the chance to talk to Jeremy Kasten a few years back when he did a little movie I was obsessed with seeing called The Attic Expeditions. It starred Jeffrey Combs, Seth Green and Ted Raimi; and its director, Kasten, was a very cool guy to chat with. It’s been a few years since that interview, but happily we reconnected recently so I could pick his brain about his upcoming remake of Herschel Gordon Lewis’ Wizard of Gore (we were on the Wizard set here!), which is shaping up to be his best film to date.
