Twisted Metal and its soundtrack are coming on Valentine's Day, 2012. The game takes a new approach to the series, relying much more on delivering a well-thought-out story for each protagonist. In addition the four main characters' themes are composed by musician Michael Wandmacher.

Last night Dread Central took part in a sneak preview of David Jaffe’s upcoming Twisted Metal game for the PS3 console during Sony PlayStation’s pre-E3 event. Let me preface my experiences with the game itself by saying that I am not much of a gamer. I’m a button-smasher by nature (grew up playing arcade games) so I wasn’t sure if I’d even be able to get the hang of it.
For years one of the Sony PlayStation's flagship titles has been Twisted Metal. Aside from the insane gameplay, the black heart of the title has always been its demented lead character, Sweet Tooth, whom gamers/horror fans everywhere have embraced the same way that they would big screen favorites like Jason or Freddy.
Sweet Tooth has officially returned ... and he's bringing a small army with him. The new world of Twisted Metal focuses more on team play with players weaving in and out of oncoming freeway traffic, dodging missiles as a helicopter circles overhead, gatling gun blazing away before swooping in with a huge magnet to lift you out of the kill zone.
