It's kind of funny; just the other day we watched the Mo Brothers' Indonesian psychofest Macabre and were wondering to ourselves when these cats were going to make another feature film. That being said...
Two years ago we were treated to the lunacy of an off-the-wall little Asian splatterfest called Macabre, which played sort of like the goriest mix tape you ever dug on. For whatever reason it seemed as if it would be lost on the U.S. as no one stepped up to officially bring it here. Until now.
Hey, remember that Asian splatter flick Macabre? Of course you don't because despite making the film festival rounds, it never landed U.S. distribution. Hopefully the next film from the directing duo of the Mo brothers will fare a bit better. Maybe?
Even though the Mo Brothers' Macabre is still searching for US distro, that hasn't stopped them from posting a few more stills from the film. Macabre, while not bad, is about as derivative as they come - and plays sort of like a horror mix-tape or mash-up. We'll keep our ears open for more but in the interim ...
