Exclusive Clip From Day the Earth Stood Still DVD!

Tomorrow a brand new edition of the original 1951 masterpiece The Day the Earth Stood Still will street on both a standard def 2-disc and a Blu-ray Special Edition. That’s a good reason to smile. Another is an exclusive clip from one of the featurettes on the DVD that the folks at 20th Century Fox were kind enough to drop in our laps for you enjoyment!

Original Day the Earth Stood Still SE DVD & Blu-ray

Before you can say Klaatu Barada Nikto, the remake of the 1951 classic The Day the Earth Stood Still will be in theatres, but Fox Home Entertainment is poised to give the original some small screen loving.

The Day Fox Stoppped The Asylum

On December 16th, The Asylum is set to release The Day The Earth Stopped, their mockbuster version of Fox's big budget The Day The Earth Stood Still remake starring Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly opening on December 12th. At least that was the plan. I know from my communications with past Asylum employees that they've raised the ire of Hollywood studios before, but never before has it led to legal action - until now.

New Blindness & Day the Earth Trailers!

I know, I know, The Day the Earth Stood Still isn’t exactly horror -- in fact most would argue it’s about as sci-fi as one can get -- but I couldn’t help it; this trailer is actually way better than I expected it to be. Just watch it and feel free to bitch me out below. The remake opens everywhere on December 12th.
