TCM is airing "A Night at the Movies: Horror" with Stephen King on Monday, October 3rd, which features King talking about the genre of horror films from early days to the present day, including some of his own. In addition, the network is showing seven classic horror films in conjunction with the show.
Assuming you have a humongous front door or outstanding insurance, Thursdays in June will be good night to pull your car into the living room, park it in front of your flatscreen, turn the channel to TCM, and try to relive the golden age of drive-in monster movies as TCM is loading its schedule this month with nothing but classic old school monster movies.
Several indie flicks can be found on this week's release list along with some reissues like a Blacula/Scream Blacula Scream twin-pack, a couple of TCM four-packs, and a bizarre Blu-ray "Thrillers" collection that teams The Invisible with Shyamalan's The Sixth Sense, Signs, and Unbreakable. But without a doubt the pick of the week is "Supernatural" Season Four (review coming soon).
