Rest in Peace: Director Mike Nichols

The filmmaking community has lost one hell of an asset today with the passing of director Mike Nichols. The man who commanded the screen with such films as The Graduate, Silkwood, Catch-22, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, and many more, fell victim to cardiac arrest at age 83.

Nichols touched our genre but a single time with 1994’s Wolfman flick Wolf starring Jack Nicholson and James Spader as dueling alphas vying for the affection of Michelle Pfeiffer.

At this time we here at Dread Central would like to offer our sincerest of condolences to Nichols’ many friends, his family, and his constituents. Thank you for your contributions, sir. You will be sorely missed.

Mike Nichols
