Stephen King fans waiting to get their second glimpse at his next project for Syfy, "Haven", need not wait a second longer as the network with the now silly name has unleashed the second teaser trailer.
It's not often you see an image of a scantily clad female covered in a bodily fluid being menaced by a large purple-ish tentacle and it turns out to not be hentai related. But that's what you'll see in all its bloody glory in this first official image from Roger Corman's next creature feature Sharktopus.
Say what you want about the Syfy Channel, at the very least the network keeps pumping out original material that is specifically designed to get the genre fan's ghost, and today they've announced two new series for us all to (hopefully) dig on!
Several comments along the lines of "Haven seems to have absolutely nothing to do with the Stephen King novel (The Colorado Kid) on which it's based" got us wondering about the upcoming Syfy series. Luckily, thanks to the magic of Twitter, the show's co-writer, Sam Ernst, has cleared things up a bit.
With costumes unquestionably inspired by Dragon Age and Kung Fu action racing along at the speed of Chronicles of Narnia, Syfy's latest, "Witchville", is coming to set your Saturday night to a light smolder this May 22nd. Director Pearry Teo allegedly poured his heart and soul into the project so as always, I hold out hope that I'm wrong, but this new clip posted by the denizens of Syfytopia hasn't convinced me this is anything more than ... well ... more of the same for Syfy.

Fans of Stephen King have been anxiously awaiting some more supernatural mayhem from the master, and his new television series "Haven" looks like it could very well deliver the goods.
This Saturday night marks the premiere of Syfy's latest cryptozoological creature feature, Mothman. Earlier this week I somehow got invited to get up extra early (by my standards) to take part in a conference call Q&A with stars Jewel Staite and Connor Fox.
Keeping with their theme of having an incredibly hot chick somehow being obscured by horrific themes, After Dark Films has released its international main event one-sheet, and we approve. Man, do we approve!
Despite the promising looking poster art that was being shown around at AFM a few months ago, the first clip for Syfy's Mothman had made its way online to prove that it's more of the same goofy stuff we can expect from the network. Sigh.
The first bit of sales art debuted today for the After Dark Original Husk, and we totally approve. If only because we're suckers for killer scarecrow movies! Dig it!
