A few days ago it was announced that two of the eight films slated for this weekend's After Dark Originals theatrical release were being held off until later in the year due to a deal with Syfy. By later in the year they must have meant February 26th, the date that 51 will premiere as one of Syfy's Saturday night originals.
While this weekend brings us the world premiere of the cinematic epic Mega Python vs. Gatoroid, Syfy is already putting out promotional clips for their next offering for February, Iron Invader, which sees Earth invaded by a alien bacteria that not only fatally infects people, it also brings a giant ironworks statue to life to go on a rampage.
Details are sparse, but in a story about Tagline Pictures, the production company behind "Psych", signing a first-look deal with Universal Cable Prods., the studio that produces the USA Network dramedy, we learned about a new Tagline series entitled "Faerborne", which is apparently heading to Syfy.
After Dark has taken the horror festival concept to a higher level with its After Dark Originals, showcasing eight new horror films spanning the genre.
