SXSW

South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, has become one of the preeminent events in the United States. What started out as a music festival has added conferences and festivals for the film industry as well as for the blossoming interactive media, mirroring the ever-increasing convergence of entertainment/media outlets. So of course we here at Dread Central want to be a part of it -- and you guys can help us achieve that goal!

It happens every so often, ya know? Every time Raimi has a movie coming out during interviews he's inevitably asked The Questions. Will there be an Evil Dead remake and when are we gonna get an Evil Dead 4? Hot on the heels of promoting his stellar new film Drag Me to Hell, Raimi threw us yet another bone.

Few horror films this year have had as much positive buzz as Sam Raimi's return to our genre, Drag Me To Hell. A lot of folks are saying that it's a true return to form and could be as close as we'll ever get to Evil Dead 4. Well, if you can make it to the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas, then you'll have your chance to judge for yourself.

Yesterday we got official word from Warnrer Bros that Raw Feed entry Otis would be making its premiere at this year’s South by Southwest festival, running March 7th-15th. But Otis is just one of many new horror entries making their debut, as we found out today when the official lineup was announced.
