While the flick is going to be more of a hard sell here in the states, Warner Music has jumped on Chemical Wedding, the directorial debut of Monty Python editor Julian Doyle which was scripted by Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson, with plans to give it a major theatrical push in the UK according to Variety.
Of course, Warner Music doesn’t usually do movies for obvious reasons, but the connection to Maiden was too good to pass up when it came to cross promoting. An experienced theatrical exec has been hired to make sure everything goes well with Chemical Wedding’s distro. Flick will premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
Chemical Wedding is the story of a quiet schoolteacher who is taken over by the spirit of Aleister Crowley, an occult scholar who was once known as the most evil man in the UK. Keep it here for more info as we head out and gather it up!
