They're Baaaack ... One Night Only!

We gave you the news about a new Poltergeist disc yesterday (“Belial & Poltergeist to Prom Night” – August 2007), but there was one fairly important element of Warner Bros’ plans to finally deliver a special edition of the Tobe Hooper classic no one seems to have caught; it’s coming back to theaters, too!

According to Home Media Magazine, Poltergeist will enjoy a one-night theatrical revival at participating Regal, United Artists, Edwards, Cinemark and AMC theaters on Friday, October 4th; the Friday before the new Poltergeist disc is due in stores.

Since the disc is remastered and restored we can only assume the print they show will be, as well. Tickets for the one-night screening will go on sale on September 7th at participating theater box offices or through NCM Fathom, who are putting on the event. You better make it out for this, damnit!
