I find it hard to believe that any studio would have a problem drumming up attention for a horror movie starring Crispin Glover, but why else would Simon Says (review) not be out here in the states yet? Do they not know there’s a built-in audience of the morbidly curious waiting for this?
Well, our UK brethren will be the first to see it on DVD; a reader tipped us off that DNC Entertainment will be releasing it on Region 2 DVD come January 21st, 2008.
No features were listed for the DVD, which is a shame as I’d love to hear director William (Harry and the Hendersons) Dear recount what it was like to make a slasher movie with Crispin Glover playing two roles. Such is the plot of Simon Says; some teens run afoul of the titular maniac who dispatches them most often with his tool of choice; a pick axe. Of course the other twin is probably the good one.
